Job summary

Amazon’s Edge Intelligence team within Connected Vehicles, part of Last Mile Technology, builds real-time intelligence and perception systems that run directly on deployed delivery devices. We bridge embedded hardware and cloud platforms to enable low-latency, reliable edge analytics powering in-vehicle experiences.

We are creating the next generation of smart delivery vehicles with IoT, real-time data streams, and machine learning to deliver faster, safer, and more efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience for complex systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming in at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• On-Device Applications: design and develop apps powering in-vehicle experiences.
• Edge Inference & ML: build on-device inference pipelines for perception and real-time decisions.
• Sensor & Camera Processing: develop sensor ingestion and camera processing pipelines.
• Edge Runtime Optimization: profile and optimize edge compute workloads.
• Device-to-Cloud Orchestration: design data pipelines from edge to cloud analytics.
• Edge Telemetry & Observability: build monitoring and alerting systems for edge devices.
• On-Device Map-Making: contribute to map-making models and localization.
• Operational Excellence: own end-to-end lifecycle from design to on-call support.
