Fastly is seeking a data center provisioning engineer to configure and deploy servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure to extend capacity across multiple POPs worldwide. You will work with hardware, tooling, and operations teams to build scalable provisioning solutions and ensure error-free rapid expansion.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to documented standards, and hands-on provisioning of new infrastructure with a focus on post-deployment

Qualifications

• Experience provisioning data center infrastructure following documented standards and processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve provisioning and service turnup issues.
• Strong collaboration with hardware, tooling, and operations teams to support rapid expansion.

Responsibilities

• Provision POPs (network devices, servers and equipment) using Github, Ansible, Chef and internal tool sets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve provisioning and service turnup problems.
• Collaborate across internal operations, infrastructure teams and external partners to enable scalable provisioning.
• Contribute to standards and processes for provisioning new infrastructure.
• Partner with Fastly teams to develop tools and automation for provisioning the network.
• Support post-deployment validation, monitoring integration, and handoff to Network Operations.
