Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Senior Data Center Provisioning Engineer for a remote role in the United States. You will configure and deploy servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure across multiple POPs, enabling rapid expansion with reliability and scale.

You will collaborate with hardware, tooling, and operations teams, troubleshoot provisioning challenges, and help drive automation and standards for future deployments. This role offers a chance to influence Fastly's growing edge network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in network devices and server provisioning, system administration, and/or site reliability engineering.
• Strong understanding of internet routing and TCP/IP for client/server dataflow.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and external partners to enable rapid expansion.

Responsibilities

• Provision POPs (network devices, servers and equipment) using documented standards and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve provisioning and turnup issues.
• Collaborate with internal operations, infrastructure teams and external partners for scalable growth.
• Contribute to development and improvement of provisioning standards and processes.
• Partner with Fastly teams to develop tools and automation for provisioning the network.
• Support post-deployment validation, monitoring integration, and handoff to Network Operations.
