Job summary

Fastly's Network Management Platform team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deploy network configuration for our growing global fleet. You will collaborate with infrastructure and operations to set direction and deliver features that scale.

You will work on provisioning, CI/CD, testing, and writing performant, maintainable code (Python or similar). You will mentor teammates and help improve processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes.
• 3+ years automating public cloud workloads (GCP, AWS) and using IaC such as Terraform.
• Experience in software development and DevOps best practices.
• Experience with Python or another modern language.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver next-gen network config features.
• Support infrastructure provisioning as Fastly’s fleet grows in size and complexity.
• Develop and improve software development processes including testing, CI/CD, etc.
• Write performant, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor and support other engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
