Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 6+ years of experience.
Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience.
Experience using data from multiple perception sensor types (sonar, magnetic, cameras, lidar) to enhance a robotic platform’s perception.
Background in mathematics and robotics algorithms (linear algebra, trigonometry, Bayesian stats, Kalman filters).
Understanding of Navy/DoD mission for autonomous systems integration.
Experience with Python, C++, Matlab.

Responsibilities

Serve as Autonomous Systems Engineer for submersible systems with emphasis on sensor data fusion algorithms.
Identify and develop methods of optimization for edge processing of sensor data onboard autonomous platforms.
Contribute to industry-academia research projects for intelligent unmanned maritime systems.
Assist in developing autonomous strategies balancing speed, cost, and value of approaches.
Engage with partners and customers to elicit project requirements.
Collaborate with software engineering and business teams to develop new products using modeling and simulation insights.
