Job summary

Integer Technologies is seeking an Autonomous Systems Engineer focused on sensor data fusion for submersible platforms. You will contribute to edge-deployed models and real-time decision aids to support autonomous maritime missions, working across cross-functional teams and with external partners.

The role requires strong mathematics background, experience with ROS and AI/ML tools, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. On-site in Gulfport, MS with competitive salaries and benefits.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience in primary responsibilities.
Master’s degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Experience using data from perception sensors (sonar, magnetic, cameras, lidar) to enhance a robotic platform’s perception of its environment and navigational hazards.
Background in mathematics and understanding of robotic algorithms such as linear algebra, trigonometry, Bayesian statistics, and Kalman filters.
Understanding of the Navy and DoD’s mission and strategy for autonomous systems integration.
Experience with numerical methods and scientific software development in Python, C++, Matlab.

Responsibilities

Serve as an Autonomous Systems Engineer for submersible systems with emphasis on sensor data fusion.
Identify and develop methods of optimization for edge processing of sensor data aboard autonomous platforms.
Contribute to research projects aiming at intelligent operation of unmanned maritime systems.
Develop autonomous strategies balancing speed, cost, and value of approaches.
Engage with partners and customers to understand needs and elicit project requirements.
Collaborate with software engineering and business development to create new products using modeling and simulation.
