Job summary

Integer Technologies in Gulfport, MS is seeking an Autonomous Systems Engineer to advance sensor data processing and fusion for unmanned submersible systems. The role focuses on edge-deployed algorithms enabling real-time autonomous decisions, leveraging data from acoustic, magnetic and other sensors.

The candidate will contribute to multi-year subsea data intelligence programs and help build a robust decision-support framework for autonomous vehicles operating in changing environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Bachelor’s/master’s/PhD with years of relevant experience as stated above.
• Experience with perception sensor data (sonar, magnetic, cameras, lidar) to enhance robotic perception.
• Background in mathematics and robotic algorithms (linear algebra, trigonometry, Bayesian statistics, Kalman filters).
• Experience with Python, C++, Matlab; ROS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Autonomous Systems Engineer for submersible systems focusing on sensor data fusion.
• Identify and develop optimization methods for edge processing of sensor data.
• Contribute to industry-academia research deliverables for intelligent unmanned maritime systems.
• Assist in developing autonomous strategies balancing speed, cost, and value.
• Engage with partners to understand needs and elicit requirements.
• Collaborate with software and business development to create new products using modeling and simulation.
