Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a self-motivated server and storage hardware architect and technology planning expert to join the Data Center Development team. You will secure co-location and connectivity resources, lead supplier negotiations, and develop long-term acquisition strategies to support edge and backbone network growth in the Americas and EMEA regions.

The role requires 3+ years in infrastructure acquisition, strong negotiation and project management skills, and experience with edge data

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a business, technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years experience in infrastructure acquisition, sourcing, engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with Edge Co-locations, Data Center, and/or ISP/Carrier/CDN/IX providers in NA/LA.
• Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations.
• Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Office applications, Jira, and contract platforms.

Responsibilities

• Secure infrastructure resources from commercial and technical perspectives to meet traffic demand.
• Lead commercial and technical negotiations with candidate suppliers.
• Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements with cross-functional teams.
• Develop acquisition strategies for short, mid, and long term.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Planning, Engineering, Legal, Finance, etc.
• Conduct market research and manage supplier lifecycle.
• Maintain relationships and strategic partnerships with suppliers.
