Job summary

HDR is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to support enterprise LAN/WAN, branch connectivity, wireless, and cloud-edge environments in a 24/7 on-site role across multiple U.S. locations including Harrisburg.

You will implement changes to switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, and cloud networking, troubleshoot complex incidents, and ensure governance and security standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in network engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering (or equivalent), strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field; 3+ years in network engineering or enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise LAN/WAN, office networking, and wireless environments.
• Strong routing, switching, VLANs, WAN technologies, VPNs, and firewall administration.
• Familiarity with change management, incident management, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise LAN/WAN and office networking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents.
• Implement changes to switches, routers, firewalls, and SD-WAN devices.
• Support connectivity between on-premises, private cloud, datacenters, and public cloud services.
• Assist with management of public cloud network services (VNets/VPCs), routing, and security controls.
• Participate in lifecycle activities (hardware refresh, code upgrades, circuit migrations, wireless improvements).
• Ensure network changes comply with governance, security standards, and change control requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, standards, and runbooks.
• Provide technical guidance to Connectivity Engineer I team members.
• Participate in on-call support and operational readiness.
