Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co in Bethesda, Maryland is seeking a hands-on Field & Cloud DevOps Engineer responsible for the deployment, operation, and reliability of edge and cloud infrastructure.

You will work closely with customer IT teams and AWS, deploying and maintaining hardware and ensuring systems operate reliably. The ideal candidate should have experience with edge computing and a strong foundation in AWS and Kubernetes.

This role requires a proactive approach to incident response and optimizing infrastructure costs, actively contributing to the company's scalability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience with edge computing or on-prem deployments.
• Familiarity with IP camera systems and video infrastructure.
• Experience managing or optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end infrastructure operations across customer sites and AWS.
• Plan and execute customer deployments in collaboration with IT teams.
• Deploy and maintain edge compute hardware in customer environments.
• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot customer-side networking.
• Build and operate AWS-based infrastructure supporting edge systems.
• Develop and maintain automation and internal tooling for workflows.
• Lead incident response and operational debugging across systems.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and monitor AWS spending.
