Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking an Edge Site Reliability Engineer in Seattle to design and operate a large-scale CDN and edge services stack. The role combines software and network engineering to ensure reliable, scalable performance.

You will architect, implement, monitor, and optimize edge infrastructure, contributing to data pipelines, automation, and incident response. On-site work is expected, with a strong emphasis on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in CDN performance, traffic engineering, or network-focused site reliability roles.
• Experience with TCP/IP, BGP, DNS in carrier-grade environments and CDN tech.
• 2+ years in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, or scripting in Shell/Python.
• Strong analytical skills for rapid problem solving in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement CDN edge solutions for internal and external customers.
• Contribute to data pipelines, tools, automations, and monitors for edge services.
• Monitor data quality, alerts, and anomaly detection; improve edge service performance.
• Document team processes, engagement methods, and SLOs.
• Analyze and design system-level improvements to remove bottlenecks and boost performance.
• Implement monitoring and alerting to improve issue detection and response.
• Participate in technical operations and rotations in a fast-paced setting.
