Valen USA is a leading manufacturer of custom cabinet doors and drawer boxes and a supplier to some of the most recognizable kitchen and closet brands in the industry. Based in Lexington, NC, for over 35 years we have been a leading source for quality crafted wooden drawer boxes and decorative 5-piece doors throughout North America, with customers in the cabinet, office furniture, closet systems, hospitality, health care, and store fixture industries.

We are currently looking for a qualified Edge Band Operator with strong technical skills and a quality-driven focus on production. If you are an experienced edge band operator, we would love to hear from you.

You are a good candidate if you have a good understanding of the daily operations and maintenance of edge band equipment, productivity goals and quality expectations. General woodworking equipment or cabinet making experience is an absolute plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining edge banding machines to produce high-quality TFL doors and drawer fronts.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate edge banding machines according to specifications and production requirements.
• Adjust settings and glues to ensure proper edge banding.
• Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including performing routine maintenance on machines.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating edge banding machines in a woodworking or furniture manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of edge banding techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and manufacturing processes.
• Customer focused approach to getting it right.

SALARY
