Job Summary
Perform operations to maintain product quality and production levels. Work as a team member for maximum effectiveness. Responsibilities include product inspection, operating equipment, raw material/finished goods movement, and cleaning/sanitizing. Monitor machine functions and detect conditions that are or may become out of control. Ensure compliance with embecta quality systems, policies, procedures, and all relevant safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Clean machines and immediate work area.
- Produce, visually inspect, and package product.
- Operate equipment and process functions.
- Conduct inspections and perform process tests.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Respond to and reset alarms as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure a productive work environment.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain certification on assigned equipment.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Leader to support business needs.
- Work in a high-speed manufacturing environment, remaining alert and focused.
- Obey all company policies, standards, and rules, including safety policies and lockout procedures.
- Understand and apply embecta standards and specifications to ensure products meet embecta standards.
Experience & Education
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or for embecta.
