Job description

Job Summary

Perform operations to maintain product quality and production levels. Work as a team member for maximum effectiveness. Responsibilities include product inspection, operating equipment, raw material/finished goods movement, and cleaning/sanitizing. Monitor machine functions and detect conditions that are or may become out of control. Ensure compliance with embecta quality systems, policies, procedures, and all relevant safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain equipment according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
  2. Clean machines and immediate work area.
  3. Produce, visually inspect, and package product.
  4. Operate equipment and process functions.
  5. Conduct inspections and perform process tests.
  6. Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
  7. Respond to and reset alarms as needed.
  8. Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure a productive work environment.
  9. Contribute to continuous process improvement.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  11. Maintain certification on assigned equipment.
  12. Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Leader to support business needs.
  14. Work in a high-speed manufacturing environment, remaining alert and focused.
  15. Obey all company policies, standards, and rules, including safety policies and lockout procedures.
  16. Understand and apply embecta standards and specifications to ensure products meet embecta standards.
Experience & Education
  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or for embecta.
