Job summary

Bose Corporation in the United States seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – Systems Architect, Edge AI to design and shape embedded AI across audio devices and platforms. You’ll explore architectures, build simulations, and create reusable IP for wearables, phones, PCs, and Linux-based systems.

You will lead architecture exploration, drive feasibility studies, and translate ML/AI into scalable Bose solutions while collaborating with diverse teams and partners to push the state of the art in audio

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Significant experience developing or architecting complex embedded hardware and software systems.
• Strong systems architecture experience across hardware and software.
• Experience with embedded processors, SoCs, DSPs, real-time systems, and Linux-based platforms.
• Strong knowledge of digital audio signal processing and audio system architectures.
• Experience implementing or deploying machine learning models on embedded or edge devices.
• Understanding of edge-ML constraints including compute, memory, power, latency, and hardware acceleration.
• Demonstrated experience using AI to solve meaningful technical problems with measurable engineering or business impact.

Responsibilities

• Architect complex embedded hardware/software solutions for future Bose technologies.
• Evaluate new concepts for feasibility, architecture tradeoffs, risk, and scalability.
• Translate audio, sensing, ML, and AI technologies into reusable system architectures.
• Build simulations, prototypes, and experiments to evaluate candidate solutions.
• Develop agentic AI workflows and reusable AI-enabled engineering infrastructure for architecture exploration and verification.
• Stress-test architectures across power, compute, memory, latency, performance, and security.
• Architect Bose algorithms, models, frameworks, and IP for secure integration into third-party systems.
• Lead technically across Bose Labs, engineering teams, suppliers, and external partners.
