Job summary

Bose Corporation is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Systems Architect, Edge AI to shape the future of embedded audio tech. You will architect complex hardware/software, evaluate feasibility, and translate audio, sensing, ML into scalable system architectures.

You will build simulations, AI-enabled workflows, and stress-test architectures across power, compute, memory, latency, and security while leading Bose Labs and partner teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience architecting embedded hardware/software systems.
• Strong systems-architecture experience across hardware and software.
• Experience with embedded processors, SoCs, DSPs, real-time systems, Linux-based platforms.
• Knowledge of digital audio signal processing and audio architectures.
• Experience deploying ML on edge devices.
• Understanding edge-ML constraints: compute, memory, power, latency, hardware acceleration.
• Demonstrated experience using AI to solve meaningful problems.

Responsibilities

• Architect complex embedded hardware/software solutions for Bose technologies.
• Evaluate concepts for feasibility, tradeoffs, risk, and scalability.
• Translate audio, sensing, ML, and AI into reusable system architectures.
• Build simulations, prototypes, and experiments to evaluate solutions.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows and engineering infrastructure for architecture exploration and verification.
• Stress-test architectures across power, compute, memory, latency, and security.
• Architect Bose algorithms, models, and IP for secure third-party integration.
• Influence Bose technology roadmap with deep understanding of embedded AI, silicon, audio, and edge computing.
• Provide principal-level technical leadership across Bose Labs, engineering teams, suppliers, and external partners.
