Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer to advance sensor and compute platforms for AR initiatives. You will design and implement embedded systems, work with FPGA teams, and help bring next‑generation 2D/3D sensors into production.

You will collaborate across hardware, software, test, and operations, define system requirements, write specs, and develop tests to ensure robust edge AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• High level of proficiency with C/C++.
• 3+ years experience in full embedded software development cycle (design, prototype, development, testing, release, deployment).
• 3+ years experience implementing signal processing with Verilog/HDL tools.
• Knowledge of Python scripting language.
• Experience communicating in English with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging sensor technologies and evaluate applications for the Amazon fulfillment network.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, test, and operations teams and suppliers to develop sensors and compute platforms.
• Define system requirements, write specifications, and create test plans.
• Design and develop embedded systems to enable AI on edge computing.
• Advise internal teams on sensing/compute design and integration.
• Support product release to manufacturing and customer deployment.
• Design and develop embedded and FPGA software.
