Job summary

SiMa.ai seeks a Palette Neat Application Development Intern to join our San Jose office onsite this summer. You will work with the Palette Neat stack to build real‑world Physical AI applications combining video, sensors, ML models, and edge deployment on Modalix hardware.

Ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates with strong Python, C++, and Linux skills, plus a curiosity for AI pipelines, video processing, and developer tooling.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated or nearing graduation with a related degree.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with C++ and Linux development environments.
• Basic understanding of machine learning models, computer vision, and AI pipelines.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end Physical AI applications using Palette Neat, including video analytics and robotics pipelines.
• Build examples combining AI models, pre/post‑processing, media pipelines, and deployment workflows.
• Work with Python, C++, GStreamer, and SiMa.ai tools to prototype real‑time AI applications on Modalix hardware.
• Integrate neural network models into application pipelines and evaluate performance on edge devices.
• Create reference applications, demos, and developer‑facing examples for customers.
• Debug issues related to model integration, data formats, and edge performance.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve developer experience and documentation.
