Job summary

SiMa.ai invites students or recent graduates for the Palette Neat Application Development Intern role in San Jose, CA. You will work hands-on with the Palette Neat stack to craft end-to-end Physical AI applications targeting the SiMa Modalix platform.

You’ll prototype real-time AI pipelines, optimize deployment on edge hardware, and build developer-facing examples. Strong Python/C++ and Linux skills are essential, with a passion for edge AI and hardware-software co-design.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or near graduation in CS/CE/Robotics or related field.
  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Familiarity with C++ and Linux development environments.
  • Basic understanding of ML models, CV, and AI pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and problem solving, plus good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end Physical AI applications using Palette Neat for real-time edge deployment.
  • Build demos and reference apps showing deployment workflows and pipelines.
  • Prototype and validate AI applications on SiMa Modalix hardware using Python, C++, and GStreamer.
  • Evaluate performance (latency, throughput, accuracy) on edge devices.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve developer experience and documentation.
  • Debug issues related to model integration, data formats, and memory movement.
