Job summary

Luna Point Dental Care, a Heartland Dental supported office in Pensacola, seeks an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to support the clinical treatment of patients. You will take and develop X-rays, organize lab equipment, manage patient comfort, and help sustain the dentist’s schedule while following OSHA and safety policies.

The ideal candidate holds an EDDA certificate, is flexible and reliable, has strong communication and organizational skills, and is willing to travel for training.

Qualifications

• An EDDA certificate is required.
• Flexible, reliable, positive and professional attitude.
• Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Ability to travel for training, occasionally overnight.
• Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Taking and recording patient histories and vital signs.
• Assisting the dentist in managing dental emergencies.
• Continuing education and training to improve clinical skills.
• Organizing and maintaining lab equipment and X-ray setup.
• Taking and developing X-rays and providing post-operative care.
