Job summary

Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center seeks an experienced RN to join the ED trauma team. You will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced setting, coordinate trauma activities, and support EMS and physicians across departments.

Required are Iowa RN licensure, BSN, and TNCC instructor certification or the ability to obtain within a year. A strong focus on communication and patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or compact license recognized by the state.
• BSN degree required.
• TNCC Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Nursing certification or obtain within 1 year.
• Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Emergency Department (ED) and collaborate with trauma team.
• Display effective communication with patients and families.
• Develop multidisciplinary trauma educational programs and quality improvements.
• Coordinate trauma committee meetings and assist in ED operations.
• Assist EMS and physicians; participate in pediatric trauma activities.
