Job summary

Mission Hospital in North Carolina seeks an experienced RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to ensure patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity and coordinated care. You will align staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered operations.

Lead with clinical expertise, provide escalation support, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and drive timely care transitions while maintaining high safety and quality

Qualifications

• RN with current license and relevant ED leadership experience.
• ACLS/BLS/EMT certifications or equivalents as per hospital policy.
• Ability to coordinate staffing and patient placement in a high‑acuity ED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
