Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to lead patient movement and coordination in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Houston. You will align staffing, patient placement, and resources to deliver organized, safe, and patient-centered care with a focus on throughput and performance improvement.

Responsibilities include coordinating triage, EMS handoffs, and transfers, while partnering with physicians and care teams to remove barriers and support

Qualifications

• RN with ACLS, BLS, TNCC required within defined timelines.
• PALS or ENPC within 90 days of start date.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers.
• Align staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs.
• Monitor delays in care transitions and collaborate on throughput solutions.
• Support safety priorities, quality outcomes, and care initiatives.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers.
