CHRISTUS Health in New Braunfels, TX is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for Per Diem As Needed shifts. The role supports RN staff, greets patients as they arrive, assists with admissions/transfers, and performs phlebotomy and monitoring tasks as delegated. Schedule is 7AM–7PM; opportunities to work across ED units.

Requires EMT/MA/NA training or relevant experience; BLS; strong customer service and adherence to CHRISTUS core values.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of listed educational programs or prior CHRISTUS Emergency Technician experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges as needed.
• Observes patient condition and reports changes to RN.
• Assists with escorting stable patients to other departments.
• Cleans and maintains stocked equipment and supplies.
• Performs venipuncture, phlebotomy and collection of specimens as directed by RN.
• Operates monitoring equipment and records rhythm strips and EKGs as delegated.
• Greet patients and complete registration accurately in the system.
