Job summary

Maine Medical Center Portland is seeking an Emergency Department Technician I for the Evening-Shift. This part-time role includes 2, 12-hour shifts from 11:30AM to 12:00AM with a weekend rotation, supporting the ED team under RN supervision.

The role involves basic patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy, and stocking and tracking tasks to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• EMT-Advanced, EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant or CNA certification required; BLS due within 30 days.
• Less than six months of ED Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and implementing basic department activities (stocking, results retrieval, patient tracking).
• Under RN guidance, perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.
