Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, is hiring for an Emergency Department Technician I to support the healthcare team. The role includes stocking, results retrieval, and patient tracking under the supervision of an RN.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy, and other basic procedures. Full-time, day-shift with weekend rotation; 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• EMT-Advanced, EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant, or CNA certification required; BLS required within 30 days.
• Less than 6 months of ED technician experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist healthcare team with stocking and patient tracking.
• Retrieve lab results and support care coordination.
• Perform basic patient care including vital signs and monitoring.
• Conduct ECG, pulse oximetry, and phlebotomy as needed.

Summary

The Emergency Department Technician I role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval, and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the registered nurse, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: EMT-Advanced, EMT-Basic,Medical Assistant,or CNA certification required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Less than six (6) months of experience as an Emergency Department Technician.

The pay range for this position is $20.68to $25.10 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
