Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA is seeking an ED Tech to assist in rendering nursing care in the Emergency Department under RN supervision, following SMH policies and applicable standards. Shift is 36 hours weekly, 7 p.m.

to 7 a.m., with care provided to diverse patients. Applicants should have a High School graduate, BLS certification, and preferred nursing assistant training or related experience; strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are required to support

Qualifications

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to assist in providing care to patients; all approaches to a patient are sensitive to the patient’s age, culture and potential disability.
Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills.
Must meet all criteria associated with responsibilities listed in the core and unit-specific competencies for an ED Tech.

Responsibilities

Assists in rendering nursing care in the ED under the direction and supervision of a professional RN.
Functions within policies, procedures and guidelines of SMH in accordance with standards.
Provides timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co-workers and physicians.
