Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated ED Technician for Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. This part-time, day-shift role supports the Emergency Department with bedside care, phlebotomy, and EKGs for patients across all ages.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and BLS certification; CNA experience or CNA certification is preferred. Compensation is hourly, with a pay range of $21.04 to $26.19, commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Preferred: CNA experience or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• The ED Technician is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
• Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
• Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient's care
• Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• BLS required.(American Heart Association)

Preferred:

• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Certified nursing assistant preferred.
