Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support the ED team in Beverly, MA. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform delegated patient care tasks and assist with activities of daily living to ensure timely and safe care in the emergency department.

You will participate in vital signs collection, specimen handling, point-of-care testing, and basic clinical procedures, while maintaining infection control and safety standards and contributing

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training as Nursing Assistant or EMT preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients under RN delegation and assist with ADLs.
• Take and report vital signs and notify the nurse of anomalies.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Assist with transportation, room setup and early mobility as needed.
• Support safety, infection control and wound care as directed.
• Assist with basic procedures and documentation in the EHR.
