Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Nurse Assistant/Unit Clerk to join our team in Wisconsin. The role includes processing orders and charges, answering calls, maintaining medical records and supplies, and delivering care per routine.

Responsibilities include documenting care, keeping the environment clean, floating to units as needed, assisting visitors, and supporting patient safety and flow. CPR/BLS within 90 days is required.

Schedule: One12 hour shiftShift: NightsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcesses orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner.Answers the telephone and call lights in an appropriate and timely manner, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff.Directs visitors to patients' rooms.Maintains medical records of current patients.Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking, and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures according to CNA job duties and expectationsDocuments care provided according to standards.Maintains a clean work and patient environment.Floats to various units based on identified needs.Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.Verifies accuracy of charges enteredFacilitates a welcoming environment assisting with visitor wayfinding.Assemble patient folders and charts for unitRauland responder/Vocera/versus set up for new staffEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCECompletion of a CNA program.
