Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a Per Diem - As Scheduled shift in the Montour Falls area. You will work closely with RNs to provide direct patient care, assist with assessment and testing, and help prevent complications in a fast-paced ED.

The role requires a HS diploma (or equivalent) and BLS certification to be obtained during the introductory period. Per diem scheduling allows for flexible weekend and holiday coverage in the Cayuga Health emergency

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Will obtain BLS during introductory period.
• Prior patient assessment and care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with patients and teammates; represent Cayuga Health System with high-level service.
• Report abnormal findings to RN, including vital signs, ADLs, ambulation, transfers, and weights.
• Obtain and report vital signs as scheduled and prn.
• Assist patients with personal care and mobility.
• Support safe ambulation and fall prevention in the department.
• Keep bedside areas clean and organized for safety and healing.
