Job summary

Cayuga Medical Center's Emergency Department is seeking a Per Diem Patient Services Representative to provide friendly patient access, verify demographics, and support admissions and discharge processes.

The role requires a high school diploma, professional demeanor, and strong communication. Shifts vary 7 AM to 11 PM, onsite at 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850, with 8- or 12-hour shifts and one weekend per scheduling period.

Responsibilities

• Patient intake, such as greeting and check-in patients/verifying/updating patient demographics
• Assist patients with filling out consent forms
• Receive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered
• Initiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls.
• Assists in admissions, discharges, transfers and fulfills other customer service or clerical duties
