Job summary

Centralus Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to work closely with the nurse, delivering direct patient care and supporting assessment, testing, and diagnosis for patients in the ED at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent and obtaining BLS during onboarding; prior patient care experience is preferred. Shifts are 7am–7pm or 11am–11pm, 24 hours weekly, onsite with no travel.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification to be obtained during introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with patients and teammates; represent Centralus Health with high service standards.
• Report abnormal vital signs or condition changes to RN.
• Obtain and report vital signs as scheduled and PRN.
• Assist patients with personal care and mobility.
• Support safe ambulation and prevent falls in the department.
• Maintain clean, organized bedside areas for safety and healing.
