Job summary

MOXIE Public Schools is seeking an Educational Technician (Ed Tech II or III) to provide one-to-one support and small-group instruction to students in grades 6-9. Ed Tech III candidates are strongly preferred.

You’ll work closely with teachers to help students close gaps and stay on track toward mastery. As a member of a dynamic, equity-driven team, you’ll contribute to MOXIE’s innovative competency-based learning model and engage in mentoring, data-informed instruction, and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Maine Ed Tech II/III authorization or eligibility; 60/90 credits depending on level; Maine criminal history records check.
• Experience supporting middle or high school students in school, tutoring, youth development, or similar setting.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adjust when a student is stuck; strong collaboration and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group instruction and 1:1 sessions aligned with classroom plans.
• Deliver targeted intervention and practice per MOXIE standards and curriculum.
• Adapt pacing and materials to meet individual learner needs while maintaining high expectations.
• Support students during interdisciplinary Learning Experience projects and during advisory/mentoring sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers, review progress data, and plan upcoming instruction.
