Brief Job Duties:

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill andpractice activities.
• Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
• Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills,assemblies, play periods, etc.Alerts teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.

Certification/License:

• Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education

Education:

Appropriate for Ed Technician Certification Level

Experience:

Successful prior classroom experience or working with students with special needs for the appropriate grade levels is preferred, but not required.

Compensation:

Based on position, education level, experience, and per the collective bargaining agreement

Range: $21.70 - $32.67 per hour
