Job summary

Guthrie is seeking an Emergency Services Technician II to join the Emergency Department in Sayre, PA. This full-time, night-shift role supports patient care, transport, vitals, and ED operations, working with nurses and providers in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and CNA/PCT experience; EMT/EMT-P and EKG certification are preferred. Guthrie offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT or EMT-Paramedic certification preferred.
• EKG Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of Patient Care Technician or CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients into and out of the ED; assist patients from vehicles or beds.
• Measures and documents vital signs accurately.
• Present in ED waiting area providing support and information.
• Notify RN of patient changes or anxiety; escalate as needed.
• Performs phlebotomy as ordered; offers trauma support.
• Performs EKGs and POCT; documents results.
• Responds to call bells and assists patients with mobility.
• Performs hourly rounding with ED RN and documents.
• 1:1 suicide watch and sitter roles as requested.
• Identifies equipment repairs and submits work orders.
• Maintains pre-hospital equipment and communicates with providers.
