Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking an Emergency Department Technician II. This role supports the Emergency Department, functioning as an EMT or LNA and assisting the RN or Paramedic with direct and indirect patient care, environment and supply management, and adherence to department standards and policies.

The position reports to the Nurse Manager with shift supervision by the Charge Nurse, and requires certification, licensure, and relevant experience as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMT-B, EMT-A, LNA and BLS certifications required.
• One year of prior EMT or LNA experience preferred but not stated as required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for patient care assistance as delegated by the Registered Nurse (RN).
• Maintains skill level to perform patient care tasks, to include intravenous catheter insertion and medication administration, as delegated by the RN.
• Maintains skill level to administer medications as delegated by the RN.
• Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
• Maintains department supplies and equipment.
• Assists with clerical duties.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
