Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS, EMT-Advanced or EMT-Basic certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• EMT-Advanced certification required or EMT-Basic acceptable with experience.
• Prior direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for patient care assistance as delegated by the RN.
• Maintain skills for patient care tasks including IV access and medication administration.
• Administer medications as delegated by the RN.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties.
• Serve as preceptor for new employees.
