Concord Hospital Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician 2 to support the ED team. The role involves direct and indirect patient care as an EMT or LNA under RN/Paramedic supervision, along with environmental and supply management duties within the ED.

Responsible for patient support, environmental and supply management functions, as part of the patient care team. The EMT or LNA adheres to Emergency specialty standards and organizational standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols. The ED Tech II reports to the Nurse Manager with daily shift supervision by the Charge Nurse.

Education

High school or equivalent (GED).

Certification, Registration & Licensure - Required
  • National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) or
  • National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced (EMT-A) or
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
Experience

One year of prior experience as an EMT or LNA. Evidence of experience working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multi-disciplinary team. Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team.

  • Maintains skill level to perform patient care tasks, to include, intravenous catheter insertion and medication administration, as delegated by the RN.
  • Maintains skill level to administer medications as delegated by the RN.

  • Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
  • Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
