Job summary

Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, CA seeks an ED Tech to provide crucial support in a fast-paced Emergency Department. You will assist with admissions, discharges, vital signs, basic procedures, and maintain a clean, organized environment to support nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA/EMT certificated and NR EMT registered.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Strong communication and calm, proactive demeanor essential.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height and weight; document on charting forms.
• Report observations to the registered nurse and physician team.
• Identify and respond to urgent/emergent situations.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer or discharge.
• Move, lift, ambulate, and transport patients safely.
• Maintain clean, organized ED environment and document care accurately.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an ED Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.

Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ED.

• ASSESSMENT/PLANNING
• Takes vital signs, height and weight. Records on appropriate charting form
• Reports observations regarding patient's status to the registered nurse.
• Identifies and responds to urgent/emergent situations.
• Assists in patient admission, transfer or discharge.
• Moves, lifts, ambulates and transports patients safely.
