Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join our fast-paced emergency department. The role supports CNA duties under RN supervision, collects samples, identifies patients, and transports specimens, with clerical and patient service coordination.

Ideal candidates hold Idaho CNA or EMT license, current BLS, and prefer 6 months CNA/EMT experience; pediatric exposure and phlebotomy in acute care are pluses.

Qualifications

• CNA license in Idaho (or EMT license) required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
• Six months CNA or EMT experience preferred.
• Recent experience with pediatric patients and/or phlebotomy preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff by performing CNA duties under RN supervision, collect blood samples, identify patients, and transport specimens.
• Handle related clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Provide care to patients in the ED with a wide range of conditions.
