Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Lynnwood is opening a brand-new off-campus Emergency Department and seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support patient care under a Registered Nurse. You will perform waived and point-of-care testing and assist with specimen collection in a fast-paced ED setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certification on hire, and licensure within 90 days (NAC, NAR, or MA-P).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required at hire.
• Must obtain NAC, NAR, or MA-P licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred. Computer familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing and related quality activities.
• Obtain blood samples from patients, transport samples and other potentially bio-hazardous specimens for testing.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with care coordination in a fast-paced ED environment.
