Job summary

CHI Mercy Health is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician. Daily duties include diagnostics, patient transport, clerical and cleaning tasks, and ensuring a safe environment.

Primary responsibilities involve assisting with procedures, coordinating patient care with staff, performing delegated tasks, and monitoring vitals with prompt escalation to the RN or physician as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year direct patient care experience or equivalent certification (paramedic/EMT or nursing curriculum).
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with procedures and treatments.
• Coordinates patient care with staff and supports unit operations.
• Performs delegated patient care tasks.
• Monitors vital signs and notifies RN/physician if changes occur.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.

Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.

To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.

• Provides support to physician with procedures and treatments.

• Coordinates patient care with professional and support staff.

• Performs delegated patient care tasks.

• Monitors patient vital signs and notifies the RN or physician if they change.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED

• One year of direct patient care experience, Paramedic certification, EMT Certification or completion of the second term of Nursing Curriculum

• AHA BLS

Preferred

• ED and/or Phlebotomy experience

Pay Range

$22.51 - $31.79 /hour
