Job summary

CHI Mercy Health of Roseburg is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department. You will perform delegated tasks, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide clerical and cleaning support to the unit.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with procedures, coordinating care with staff, and monitoring vital signs, with a schedule that includes varied shifts. AHA BLS and prior patient care experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paramedic or EMT certification is preferred/required.
• Completion of the second term of nursing curriculum may be considered.
• Basic life support (AHA BLS) certification required.

• Coordinates patient care with professional and support staff.
• Performs delegated patient care tasks.
• Monitors patient vital signs and notifies the RN or physician if they change.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.

Schedule: Week 1 Sun, Mon, Thu; Week 2 Thu, Fri, Sat

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of direct patient care experience, Paramedic certification, EMT Certification or completion of the second term of Nursing Curriculum
• AHA BLS

Preferred

• ED and/or Phlebotomy experience
