Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Per Diem Emergency Room Nursing Assistant at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC. You will assist physicians and nurses, transport patients and supplies, prepare rooms, and perform essential clerical tasks to support the care team.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient care documentation, reporting changes in condition, providing direct patient care per plan, and participating in QA audits and safety checks while maintaining records and handling basic computer

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• High school diploma or GED; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
• Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Reviews patient care documentation and reports significant changes in patient condition to a nurse or physician.
• Performs clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review and transcribe orders, maintain medical records, and conduct QA audits.
