Job summary

Northwestern Medicine's Delnor Emergency Department is seeking an experienced ED Registered Nurse for part-time night shifts (7p–7:30a) with every third weekend and rotating holidays. The role requires a BSN, current Illinois RN license, and BLS, along with strong interpersonal and analytic skills.

Two 12-hour shifts per week offer a challenging environment in a Level II trauma center, with robust benefits and opportunities for growth within the Northwestern Medicine system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and determines the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff, creates a documented plan focused on outcomes and communications.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and individualizes the care plan based on findings.
• Uses best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
