Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Denver, Colorado. The role requires at least 1 year of ED experience, RN licensure, and BLS certification.

You will assess patients comprehensively, develop care plans, administer medications, and coordinate care with interprofessional teams. You will educate patients and families, document thoroughly, monitor outcomes, and ensure infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year RN ED experience
• Fluency in English (reading, speaking, writing)
• Basic computer skills (Windows)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure teamwork.
• Maintain timely documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
