Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. This rural, 20-bed unit serves Rutherford County with rapid, patient-centered care and close collaboration with clinicians and inpatient teams.

Eligible for a commitment bonus of $20,000 for experienced RNs or $10,000 for new graduates. Schedule includes 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (12p–12a) with rotating weekends, and opportunities for self-scheduling and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current NC RN license to practice.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
