Job summary

Advocate Health's Emergency Department seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with a focus on emergency care. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, self-scheduling, and float assignments across multiple zones within the service area.

You will provide high-quality nursing care, participate in professional governance, and contribute to patient safety and care excellence. The position requires at least 1 year of ED nursing experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications, and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate RN with board-approved nursing program.
• Active RN license in applicable state(s).
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team.
