Job summary

Minimum qualifications include Iowa RN license, BLS and ACLS, and TNCC within required timeframes. One year ED experience preferred; the nurse will precept students and new staff, document care

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license required.
• One year of RN ED experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within 6 weeks.
• ACLS within 6 months.
• TNCC within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care for acutely ill and injured patients using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families; advocate for care and discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for students and new employees.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document thoroughly.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous, well-coordinated care.
• Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies; document care accurately.
