Job summary

Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department. You will provide professional emergency nursing care for acutely ill and injured patients across all ages, following the nursing process and prioritizing patient safety.

You will educate patients and families, advocate for patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuous, well-coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Current or compact state RN license required.
• One year of RN experience preferred, or new graduate with preceptorship.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire; ACLS within six months; TNCC within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional emergency nursing care for acutely ill and injured patients across all ages.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Promote patient-centered care and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with other health care team to ensure continuous and coordinated care.
• Supervise ED Technicians and serve as a preceptor for students.
